I strongly encourage you to read my story, shop announcement and policies before purchasing.  An informed purchase is MOST satisfying for both YOU and me.  Please contact me if you have any questions. Shipping is calculated according to your address that you enter at checkout. I ship via USPS Priority Mail within 1 day of your purchase unless otherwise noted (custom orders).  USPS includes insurance up to $50 free of charge when shipping Priority Mail. If you want extra insurance or signature confirmation please tell me before you make your purchase as that is an additional charge. However, I have never found additional insurance to be necessary. 

If for some unfortunate reason your item is lost or damaged in shipment I will make every effort possible to assist you with tracking information in locating a lost package or damaged item. Be advised that USPS also makes every effort to recover misdirected packages but may not be able to do so according to your time frame. Please be patient in this process should this occur.

For lost and damaged items, you must cooperate with the shipper’s requirements. Do not throw any packaging out or your claim will be denied by the shipper. Tracking numbers and photos will be required for claims. I pack my items well, but sometimes packages are damaged by the carrier.


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can not offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.  I do not accept products that are personalized or customized.

To complete your return, I require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refund Policy

Returns are accepted on UNUSED/UNWORN items. Item shall be returned in the same condition as when you received it. If it is returned and anything is different it will be sent back to you C.O.D and no refunds will be submitted.

Buyer is responsible for shipping charges of returned items. Shipping fees for returned items are not refundable.

A 15% restocking fee applies. If you are not happy with your purchase please contact me within 3 days of receiving your purchase and send it back with tracking number as it was sent to you. 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit, minus a re-stocking fee of 15% of the purchase price, will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items 
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be returned nor refunded.

I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send me an email at catherine@beautifulbagsetc.com and send your item to: 1100 Foran Lane Aurora Illinois US 60506.

Handbag listings indicate measurements prior to your purchase so please pull out your measuring tape to get an idea of its size and/or ask for more pictures if needed prior to your purchase. It makes things a lot easier.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, I will send a refund to the gift giver and he or she will find out about your return.

If you're not sure about the colors that I have please simply request more pictures so that you can be certain that the color that I have will match what you're looking for.

I post exactly what the camera captures with the best of lighting. Please also consider the difference in individual computer monitor and cell phone settings.

If color is supremely important to you please request color swatches for which there is a small additional fee which I will quote to you at that time.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
